St. Alexander Catholic School Music
Our music program allows students to discover and understand music as an art, as well as a means of self-expression. Through song, rhythmic movement, and instrument playing, students develop music literacy skills and deepen their appreciation of music. We strive to foster the passion for music within each student and to allow their artistic talents to flourish through weekly music instruction.
Mr. Kevin Mikol
"I believe that all of the students who walk through the doors of St.
Alexander have unrealized talents in many areas. As a teacher, it is my
job to help each student to discover these talents, especially in, but not
limited to, my area of study, and to encourage them to use these gifts to
their fullest potential. Music is a powerful form of expression, and can
often inspire, empower or heal the soul. I want the students of our
school to learn not only the fundamentals of music for enjoyment and
expansion of knowledge, but also how it can be used to minister to others,
and to praise God for all of the blessings that he gives to us every day."
Mr. Mikol earned his Bachelor of Music Education from Northern
Illinois University. This is his first year at St. Alexander School.
