St. Alexander School has a 24 station E-Mac Lab. Each computer is connected to the Internet. Classrooms each have one computer connected to the Internet and many have a second computer for students to use. Students in kindergarten, first and second grade come to the lab one day a week, for a forty minute period. Third grade through eighth grade are scheduled twice a week, also for a forty minute period each day. Each student signs an Acceptable Use Policy.
All students are introduced to basic computer skills, word processing, data base, spreadsheet, drawing, painting and presentation software. Primary students use Kid Pix and create many interesting projects. Integration of classroom work and technolgy are utilized throughout the school. Internet, Internet safety and computer ethics round out the curriculum.
